Water turns up in a lot of the plots, and by mid-morning the lilies were open. Yellow in one pond, pink in the next, each kept just clear enough of its neighbours to photograph.
One designer had set glass dragonflies down among the reeds, close enough to the real thing that you looked twice. I liked the horsetail best, though: plain green segments standing dead straight, no flower, no trick.
