The temperature drops fast once the sun goes here, and the shuka goes from clothing to insulation. This figure had it pulled right up over the head, standing in profile while the last colour drained off the hills.
I kept both readings of the same second. In colour the green and blue of the cloth holds the warmth of the dusk. In black and white the wrap becomes pure shape, a person reduced to a silhouette against the slope, which is the other true thing about the picture.
