The plain around the volcano is not all dust. A green stream runs through it, fed from somewhere in the hills, and it makes a line straight toward the cone that was too good to leave alone. Water leading the eye to a mountain that is itself mostly about what comes up out of the ground.
Later, out of the sun, the banded rock of a small gorge nearby. Ochre and green folded into layers, the kind of close abstract that could be anywhere until you remember what made it.
All on the 55, one frame stopped right down to f/32 to hold the reeds in front and the cone behind in the same focus. That is Ol Doinyo Lengai [confirm]; the gorge is close to it, though I did not get the name.
