Back down from the keep and the last hour spent walking the walls while the light went. The park had turned properly, reds and oranges along the moat with the willows still green at the water, the city sitting quietly behind it. The second frame is the one I waited for: the big rampart dropped into shadow, the moat holding an orange sky, a single tower lit on the far side.

Then the keep one more time, this time from below over the stone wall, gold trim catching the very last of the sun and the crows starting to come in over it. A quieter goodbye than the front-on shot from earlier, and the better one.

All on the 55 at f/8, base ISO sliding up to 200 as the light dropped. This was the end of the day and, as it turned out, the last frames of the trip. A good place to stop.
