The other half of the JOB building is where the decoration spills outdoors. A bronze youth stands in a niche lined entirely in gold mosaic, with banana leaves leaning in from a planted court, the kind of winter-garden fantasy the era loved.

Outside, the facade keeps its nerve: ochre render, paired columns, a broken pediment over a tall arched window, blue tiling worked into the eaves. The loggia above runs on slim pink columns with a green and gold frieze and a crest at its centre, in case you had forgotten whose initials were on the door.

After the dark interiors it was a relief to shoot in daylight again, back to base ISO, the building finally letting some sun onto all that colour.
