The good light comes back at the end of the day, and the animals that were flat on their sides at noon start moving again. This elephant was grazing alone in the low sun, warm-lit, unbothered by the vehicle, taking the last of the grass before dark.

Then the sky. The Serengeti does a particular kind of sunset, wide and unhurried, the whole plain going dark under a ceiling of gold and grey. You point at it knowing it has been photographed a million times and take it anyway, because it is in front of you and it is the end of the drive.

Both on the 135, base ISO 64 to 400 as the light dropped. The elephant is the subject; the sky is the reason you stay out past the point of sensible light.
