The last of Stone Town before we moved down the coast: the town beach at the sea wall, at the flat middle of the day when the light is hard and most people have gone in. One person had stayed, sitting on the sand in the thin shade of the wall, watching the boats.
It is a quiet frame, and I nearly did not take it, which is usually the sign that I should. The curve of the wall, the pale sand, the single figure, the boats out on the water. Not much happening, which is the point.
Both the 55 at f/32 and ISO 100 to hold it sharp from the wall to the boats. Colour for the sand and the sea, black and white for the shapes, and then it was time to leave the town for the beaches in the south.
