The last of Tarangire, and the last of the mainland before the flight to Zanzibar. The light had started to lengthen, so I spent it on a baobab against the sky, in black and white again, because that is how a baobab wants to be photographed.
The wildebeest were crowded at a waterhole, drinking in a line along the bank, the water low enough to hold their reflections. Then, on the road out, a man on a bike with yellow jerry cans strapped on, cycling home along the same dirt road we were leaving on. The park ends and the ordinary country picks straight back up.
All on the 135, base ISO to 200. A quiet way to close the safari half of the trip: a tree, some animals at water, and a person going about his afternoon while the tourists drove off to catch a plane.
