Between the baobabs and the elephants, Tarangire is just plain, and the plain does its ordinary work: grazers spread out on it, a giraffe wandering the treeline, a bird on a branch. Nothing that stops the vehicle hard, all of it worth a frame.

The giraffe was up among the trees, browsing, head and neck clear of the canopy the way they always are, which is the giraffe's whole trick, reaching the food nothing else can. The zebra kept to the open. The bird was the small reward for looking at a bare branch long enough.

All on the 135, base ISO to 100. The connective tissue of a game drive, the frames you take because the animal is there and the light is fine, not because anything is happening.
