First real frame of the trip, before the city had properly started. The Skytree is unavoidable from this side of town, so the question was never whether to shoot it but what to put around it. Here it was the bridge: the railing gives the foreground something to hold onto, and the cyclist arriving on the right keeps it from reading as a postcard.
The sky was doing more than the tower. Most of the frame is cloud, with the Skytree sitting low and narrow against it, and I left it that way rather than crop up to the spire. ISO 64 and a small aperture held the detail in the lattice all the way down.
