An afternoon spent working the edges of Windermere rather than being out on it. First a big gabled house across the water, sitting in its own lawns with the fields going up behind, the kind of place built when a lake view was something you bought by the acre.
Then the launches. One of the wooden passenger boats, Princess of the Lake, was tied up at a jetty with a bracken fell behind her, and she made the cleaner subject of the two. The jetty frame is down at the waterline looking along the pilings, and the last one is just the lake being wide and quiet, contrails going over where the cloud used to be.
Four frames, all on the 55 at f/8, all base ISO. A steady, unhurried sort of afternoon, which is what the light allowed for once.
