Same tulips, two hours. The first frame is late afternoon, the light still warm and coming in low across the border with the hills gone soft behind. By the time I came back out the colour had drained to blue and only one bloom was still catching anything.
Between the two, the sun dropped under the cloud that had sat on the fells all day and put on the evening's one proper show. A single conifer took the silhouette. You wait a whole grey day for ten minutes like that.
The tulip frames are wide open on the 55 for the fall-off; the sunset is stopped down a little to hold the cloud detail.
